PSQL Shuts Down when MMS tries to Connect to it

Description

When starting the mms container (`4.0.0-a2`), I've been running into this issue:

Anyone else seen this?

It looks like the issue is that when mms tries to connect to postgres, psql shuts itself down.

Tailing pqsl before restarting mms:

…after mms is restarted:

Here is the full tail of the log for the mms container:

Environment

  • Windows 10 (64-bit) 10 Enterprise (v 10.0.17763 Build 17763)

  • Using Docker Desktop (Community Edition) v2.3.0.5

    • Docker Engine: 19.03.12

    • Docker-Compose: 1.27.2

Hi Santiago, are you sure that postgres is running before the mms container is started? Line 29 of the MMS log seems to indicate that it isn’t up, and I have personally never seen hibernate shutdown a database when trying to obtain a JDBC connection.

This also might be related to docker networking, as your MMS container seems to be expecting an endpoint at localhost:5432, so double checking that the networking is correct would also be prudent. In a pinch, you could bind all containers to the host network.

This turned out to be an issue with an incorrectly configured MMS application.

Thank you for your help with this!
