As of January 2024, this wiki page and all child pages are being decommissioned and archived. In May 2023 an attempt was made to revive OEP’s with the goal of advocating for improve planning and management of major change within the OpenMBEE ecosystem. This resulted in a few OEP’s being registered (see child pages) and some positive community building happening around those issues. Throughout 2024 however a significant degree of major change happened outside of the OEP process essentially rendering the OEP process largely useless. In recognition of this, in Janury 2024 Lewis John Mcgibbney (Unlicensed) decided to decommission and archive the OEP process. |

The purpose of an OpenMBEE Enhancement Proposal (OEP) is to manage the process of introducing any major change to OpenMBEE. This is required in order to balance the need to support new features, use cases, and system engineering requirements surrounding product direction. This document walks you through the six stages of the OEP lifecycle. |
